I have test driven diesel versions of logan, indigo and dzire. Logan is good on pickup, lots of space and good for a family of 5. too wide body for narrow roads unless u dont bother a few scratches on body.Most of the new taxis at new Shamshabad airport are logan. This fact puts off a personal user.Indigo is good from spacing inside and looks but engine pickup is a nightmare.
Driving comfort for city is worst. Come to dzire. Engine is the highlight of the car with its proven performance. Styling on exteriors is good compared to swift since I didnt like the back portion bulge on the hatchback. dzire overcomes this by good shaping on rear. Only thing not so good for dzire is legroom at back seats. Inclination of backseat should have been reduced and legroom improved. anyway the pickup is as good as small petrol car which is very good for a diesel car. Comparing these features I have booked dzire vdi. fiat style diesel version and fiat linea which is to be released in few months sport the same engine of dzire.
Deliveries should be improved to avoid drifting of customers. If one has to wait longer better to wait for linea which is real 3 box sedan looking great. Why do most car mfgrs give an obsolete music systems and charge heavily? I am slowly changing my mind to go for ldi and add up a lcd screen with a dvd player which costs only Rs 20, 000. Power windows are costing 12, 000 in market. All other small tidbits of vdi are not a must anyway.
