I bought Dzire Vdi in Jan 2010, and initially was amused with engine performance. With my old vehicle Indica DLX I used to make a lot of long drives which was like 400+Kms but never had backache and driving on Dzire my back started paining just after 150Kms.
I tried to adjust the seat, hands on steering but nothing helps. So not enjoying on comfort side. But should appreciate the engine performance, consistentlywith in the city the mileage is 17-18Kms and once on long drive I even got 21Kms with AC. There can be so much to carry these days with enough boot space. The vibration from engine is less as compared to many diesel engines.Not impressed with the gear box performance, the gears shift hardly. The design is OK. When you are on rear gear, its the toughest part, you cant view anything in the rear. The design is bad from inside.
Vdi is a good car with few setbacks, .
