Hi, I test drove Dzire as I wanted to buy a sedan and had
been putting that off for some time, its pretty good in
handling and resonable in comfort for the price. The ZXI
model certainly is worth the extra money, due to its safety
features. However, with the petrol version, I didnt find the
pickup very encouraging. I pretty much was sold to the
idea of purchasing the sedan, as I really needed a boot
and am not too fussy on looks(I guess I am the poster
boy of MUL Engineers), however, I was peeved with the
4/5 months wait time, and felt that if I had made up my
mind to get a car, I needed it now. Also another point that
was bothering me slightly was that the car is available only
in INDIA and no other country(was it because no other
country would accept an ugly duckling?). I decided to also
look at SX4 and did some comparison and negociations.
The top end Dzire is at 5.73L(showroom) and after some
shopping around I was able to bag a top end SX4 at 6.63L.
At a mere 90K extra I get a good engine, better pickup,
bigger boot, comfortable rear and all the bells and whitles
of safety that is part of Dzire. It was a no brainer. I am a
proud owner of SX4 in pearl white.
