I am writing this review on Swift Dzire Vxi model just because I have the suzuki showoff machine in my hand from 15th Aug 2008 onwards. I am the proud owner of this Suzuki machine Clear Beige colour with muscular and sexy look with large boot space; is giving a great performance on milage which was not at all expected from a Petrol variant.
We tried the performance test on highway with full tank to full tank theory. We drove the car from 0 to 120km/hr with average of 80km/hr since the route was NH17 highway and the load in the car while going was approx 120kg and while returning it was approx 180kg. The running was 138km’s before we could re-fill the tank. The assumed expected mileage from petrol variant was 10km’s/lt and what we got was 14km’s/lt.
(138km’s divided by the petrol quantity while re-filling the tank on same petrol pump and it was 9.87 liters)
138km’s / 9.87litres = 14.08km/lt
If I drive the car at constant 55 to 60km/hr what will be the mileage? Will it be more than 14km’s/lt which needs to be tried...!!

Tank Full to Tank full milage test with Dzire Vxi model second time.
total running = 81 km’s
refilling the tank, intake petrol = 3.96lt’s
81km/3.94lt = 20.45km’s/lt (Shocking...!!! Isn’t it...!!!)
I am surprised.... but I need to believe it since it is my personal experience..!! The speed was on an average 60km/hr and the top speed was 90 to 100 km/hr approximately. Only two ppl travelling (weight 63 + 47= 100kg). AC was turned ON inbetween the journey whenever required.
Note: The Second Servicing is due in March 09. Only first servicing is done and the total km’s running on meter is hardly 2000 odd.
Need to check the performance once again after 2nd servicing where in I will instruct the maruti mechanic not to touch the fuel settings.
