I wanted to buy a new cars my old buddy Maruti Zen is 5 yrs with 70000 kms.
I started my search considering my budget max.. upto 7 lacks. My constraints were lesser cost and good product with some good features. Also after owning the Hatch back vehicles for the 10 yrs, I wanted to go for hte 3 Box design. so I naturally gone for the Dzire which was lesser in cost. With my budget I thought and almost finalised for Maruti Dzire., but when I test drove it, I was shocked to see a pathetic vehicle. I own Maruti vehicles for last 10 yrs. We have started with Maruti 800 as our first car and we have evolved with it. After the first Maruti 800, we purchased MAruti Zen Vxi and this time again wanted to go for Dzire...
First of all the car is evolved from Swift Hatch back version. So there is no feel good factor for that. You will still have the feeling of Swift Hatch back.. Space inside is pathetic.. Believe me!!! once you sit inside you wont go for it... I am almost 5 feet 11 inches in height. When I sat on the rear seat of the car, my legs were touching to the front seat. So comfort wise there is no point. Other thing is that When you sit on driver seat.. when I test drove it, steering was coming very close to my chest. Also one more thing (especially for hte heighted persons), your head will touch to roof.....

Maintenance cost is less.
Cheaper Spares cost. Also availability is also good everywhere...
Resale Value. Our previous Maruti vehicles were sold at really handsome cost.

no feel good factor.. you will never feel that you own a 3 box car..
Very less seating space
no Comfort. so if you are looking for a comfortable car, then better you look for something else and Finally .. Waiting period.!!! After 3 months for Petrol version and around 9 months for Diesel.. Who the hell wants to wait that much time and for so worst Quality....!!!!! Some dealers were asking for almost 50000 extra for immediate delivery of Car... and that too no color choice...
At the End I haven’t purchased the Car after the test drive.. We have finally purchased Maruti SX4 spending 1 lacks more than DZIRe... I dont have any DZIre to Own Maruti Dzire. Instead we bought Maruti SX4... may be you can read my review on SX4.
