Bought sliver color VDI begin of Jan 2010. Waiting period was nearly 2 months, not at all disappointed for the waiting period once I started driving it.
Driveability in mumbai city, traffic, congestion is excellent and very stable on Highway as well.
I am getting approx 19 kmpl in city drive with less traffic however it drops to 15 kmpl in dense traffic like Sakinaka/andheri kurla road. AC is on half the time( Rajeev_Vermacially while returning back to home from office).
On highway, I tested it for drive to pune via expressway and back. It gave me nearly 22 kmpl. Nothing big on maintenace as well. Regular servicing as intructed in the mannual only @authorised center. I am doing @ simran motors panvel. I find the service is satisfactory.
A very good car for a family, business professional, office goers as well.
Only disappoint was with the tyre make. Maruti uses JK tyre which I personally think is inferier to MRF tyres. I found manufacturing defect in one front tyre & got it replaced by JK tyre. The similar issue again arised in one rear tyre as well & this time JK tyre technical person suggested that there is noting wrong with the tyre. Problem was related to irregular surface on the side peripheri of tyre( he was refering it as ply joints in radial tyre). Wish I knew it before delivery so that I could have tyre changed before delivery of vehicle. You guys pls check the tyres before taking delivery.
Additional accessories reccomended: Seat covers for front & back seats. I got it delivered from delhi by a relative. Quality is very good with D’zire logo printed on the seat cover. Cover cost not more than 1800. I checked the same here which is costing nothing less than 4000.
Another one is Reverse Sensor - Easily available at any accessories shop. initially wondering which brand is good. Finally zeroed in on Auto Cop. because of warranty & service since its indian company. No probs in sensor so far. Don’t exactly remember how much was the exact cost but I m sure it was not more than 2000. This is really helpful while parking as you can’t see behind due to high boot of the car.
I have done > 19000 now without any big maitenance.
