After many reviews and enquiries to buy a sedan in the budget of 7 lacs I have shortlisted Swift D’zire and Ford Ikon Diesel. But when I had test driven the two vehicles and basing on some parameters like Spares cost, reliability, Looks, Service, Engine sound I have decided to go for Swift D’zire VDi which is slightly costlier compared to Ford Ikon Diesel. But the Engine sound of Ikon was irritating.
To my luck I have got the Colour of my choice within one Week of booking. I have completed 4500 KMs till now.I was impressed with the Pickup it has and the way it cruises. Handling is good. I have even touched 160KMPH on highway the vehicle was steady. I am getting a mileage of 17 in highways I think after second service this will improve.There are some improvements can be done by Maruthi.
1.Regarding the Driver Seat height it is very low.
2.And another is the lumber support there is some room for improvement.
3.Parcel tray in the rear cannot be used since whatever items you keep in the parcel tray will fell on the rear seat passenger whenever you apply a break.
Other wise the vehicle good value for money.
