Initially it was difficult to make a decision on whether to choose Manza or Dzire. After much deliberation and reading user reviews I chose Dzire. Five years back I wanted to buy Wagon R and due to non responsiveness of the suzuki I paid advance to buy santro with good discount and later suzuki responded with some discounts. but I bought santro and I am happy about that decision and still using it.
My budget being 5 lakhs, Dzire Vxi fitted in my budget. I booked my Dzire on 5 Feb 2010 and vehicle was delivered on 10 Apr 2010. by that time price has increased by approximately Rs 8800/- after budget and was worried about another hike in april. but I was lucky I was not charged for the hike happened in April. But in my mind I thought that if price rise is effected to me I thought I will cancel the booking and buy Manza. Waiting so long and seeing price rise without much addition to the vehicle i.e approximately Rs. 16000/- between Feb 2010 and April 2010.
Vehicle is good silent. Music system is ok can improve to match the new specifications available in market.
I feel the new K series engine is under powered for Dzire. Four people share car and travel to our office. Weekly twice or once I need to take my vehicle. Approximate travel distance around 64 kms (to & Fro from office) take approximately 45 mins in the morning and 1hour 15 minute in the evening due to traffic. Have AC 80-90% times i.e when the vehicle is on idle in signal I switch off A/C practise I followed when using santro still I continue to do it as I understand it improves battery life (I got battery life of 5 year on my santro originol battery supplied with OEM).
I checked mileage and see I get around 12.3 km/l I am yet to leave vehicle for first service. I checked this full tank to full tank from same petrol bunk. my drive speed varies between 60-90km/h. Engine power can be realized only after your engine rev’sup after 1600to 1800 rpm. if you want to over take quickly be careful you have to revup before overtaking.
Since I am driving 64 kms on a given day, I feel pain in my right thighs as I have to keep my legs on the pedal.
This vehicle is value for money as it has all the required facilities inbuilt. Addition to accessories supplied with Vehicle, Rear parking sensor would be helpful as the back is raised you will not be able to see clearly what is on the back. also people when they change vehicle like hatchback to sedan this would help in parking vehicle without difficulty.
I would recommend conservative first time buyers and who do not want to experiment and who do not want to loose money when they resell the vehicle. I got my vehicle the first free service. I understand from the manual that the vehicle mileage would improve after 3000 km running.
