I have got feb 2010 vxi model. Driving on petrol, no CNG kit fitted. Have clocked 43k kms till now, not much eh!
On 17th sept 2016, on my way from sach pass to Killar, Himachal, my car’s brand new tyre burst because of loose gravel and sharp stones. I tried to lift the car to change the tyre with the help of jack and BANG! To my horror car jack broke and took a toll on my car’s body. Disfigured the bottom beam and dislocated front fender. This was not the first time I had put a jack to chage tyre. Infact, when I came back, I changed the stepney tyre with the help of the jack of my other car - Ritz. My concern is not with the car, it runs butter smooth. Haven’t given me any headaches, but what I am concerned about is, the quality of product Maruti is catering to its customers. This is my 5th car and my previous 4 cars have been from Maruti only. Nevere expected such poor quality of a product from them.
I really got scared when the jack broke. At 8.30 pm in the remote mointains I couldn’t see or hear anybody coming. What if something mishap had happened?
Who’s going to bear the charges of the damage that happened to my car because of a car jack
