What is Maruti upto? The way they have priced the Swift, I am very sure that car prices throughout shall have to follow a downward trend.

Zen LXi - Rs 3.75 lakh

Getz GL - Rs 4.5 lakh
Fiat Palio ELX Nv - Rs 4.14 lakh
My thinking is Swift is gonna eat into market shares of all the B segment cars. Pricing shall take a shift and eventually we can expect cheaper cars within 6 months or so. (including Alto and Maruti800).
Feature wise, Swift seems to be impressive and a winner in the looks. Although the ZXi version is a little highly priced...but the LXi and VXi are real value for money. I am waiting to have a test drive soon as the waiting list in my city (Dehradun) is huge, so I might get my turn only by next week. The color range is also full of life...unlike the initial dull colors from Maruti stable.
I expect a revolution in Indian automobile industry...if Maruti does’nt decide to revise the prices. At 3.87, Swift seems to be a steal.
