When Maruti-Suzuki introduced the SWIFT in India, as other folks I was also excited about its muscular looks and fabulous colors. SO I was very much intrested in buying the car. First I asked a test drive from the dealer. But the dealer said they didn’t recieve the test drive car. But they asked me to book the car. I refused to do so and insisted for test drive. After 10 days of time I got a chance to test drive a customers car.
When I test drove the car all my excitement went off. The reasons why I lost my intrest in SWIFT
The interiors are very crapy and not worth for the price you pay for it. Zen interiors would be better than the Swift
The engine is ok but its a very old engine (atleast 2 decades old) and I felt some vibration when I tested only by releasing the clutch without acceleration. Beware of clutch
Rear seat leg room isn’t that good. I guess its very difficult for 5 passengers with comfort drive
The airconditioning is not effective at all. When I asked about the sales rep, he said that the air conditioning was compromized for better mileage. ( I eneterd inside the car after 30 mins of AC on)
The one of the good things about Swift is, the driver get a good visibility in city traffic.
Now I end up with buying New Honda city
