After a long and tough decision I have decided to go in for a Maruthi Swift VXI petrol version and it had done almost 35000 KMS and no major expenses. Anybody is having two minds whether to go in for a petrol or diesel needs to just calculate the kms you are going to use per day or during weekends. A daily commute or 30kms always prefer a petrol version. The maintenance is cheap than diesel and so are the spare parts. My friend who has purchased a swift in year 2008 has already spend 10k and I have just under 7k as expenses for the same number of Kms run and mine is 4 years old vehicle.
If you really want performance out of swift just fit your car with K & N filters and Suzuki original spark plugs and you will see the difference. Please also ensure a right person to ensure the filter is correctly fitted as mine fell off during the 3 rd year and I had to spend 4500 for replacement filters. Ensure you always fill in shell from petrol as you get good mileage and service at 5000 Kms intervals. The swift will always be swift for ever and it will remain the most powerful and reliable car for life. My Car give 14.5 kms/ltr in city riding and more that 17 on highway.
I have always changed to yokohama wide tyres and oz alloy wheels which gives the car greater stability and great looks.The Car roars when accelerator is pressed and reaches 100km in no time. I love my swift.
