Hi frnds. I am planning to buy a car in December end or january but confused with the models available in the market. So I need your help on choosing the right one.
To start with, my budget is 4.5 lacs and I need a hatchback.
I used my dads Maruti 800 for a some time and invested a lot in petrol.
So this is my 1st car buying from my hard earned money and I want to buy a car that promises good comfort, good power, good efficiency and mainly less maintenance cost.
According to my budget I landed up choosing a swift vxi / Indica Turbo DLX.
I know one is petrol and other diesel. And I cannot compare both in some ways.
Mainly I will be using the car for going to office and coming back which is 25KM in Bangalore & on weekends I will be going to near by places. So average is imp to me.
I like swift because of rich looks, powerful engine, comfort and features[vxi] but I think running cost is high. I know I will be getting a feeling of driving a big car.
On an average, if I get 12kmpl in city then 56/12=Rs4.7 per km & it will be some 4 rs on highway.
If I can fit a CNG kit for the swift, how well the car behaves and what about per km cost?
Did any1 have a CNG kit in your car?
How much do you spend on service for 5000KM & repairs?
Secondly, Indica turbo DLX which costs around 4.6lacs. It has a 1400CC turbocharged engine with 68PS power which offers decent power, average, comfort & got decent looks. But a bit confused with indica. Since its a diesel engine, I heard maintenance cost would be high and still the car needs refinement. For me important things with AC are AC should make the cabin cool even in hot temperatures and when AC is switched on the car should not feel as underpowered. So tata owners please tell does this happen with your car when you switch on your Aircon?
How much did you spend on service, repairs for a 5000KM run?
Even I am planning to fit 14inch alloys.
Average for indica in city-38/14=Rs 2.7 and 38/17=2.2 on highways. So running cost is fair with indica.
At last Tata Indica Turbo DLX or Maruti Swift VXI?
