I currently use Alto LXI and looking to move upwards into the hatch back segment. Satisfied with the current services when I had used my Alto, my easiest & obvious choice was to look for Suzuki variant. Visited twice to the dealer but still could not get a test drive as the petrol variant cars were not readily available both times when I visited. I had an inclination to Swift VXI. Two failed visits for a test drive and the waiting period quoted by the dealer was really frustrating and hence lost interest in Swift (Dealer quotes 2.5 -3 months for Swift VXI in Bangalore). Not impressed during I10 test drive & hence removed I10 from my list.
Based on my friends suggestion to have a look at Ford Figo, I approached the Ford dealer in Bangalore and had a look at the Ford Figo ZXI model. I took the test drive and was very happy with the pickup , comfort and believe me AC was really powerful. I was really impressed with the featutres which was not offered even in the VXI option of swift though swift was expensive by about Rs60K ( Music system with Blue tooth, driver seat height adjustment, rear wiper, more boot space). I was told the mileage to be around 12-13 kms for Petrol in city drive - same as Swift with K series Engine .
The Features and the price was tempting - but dealer claims a 4 week waiting period which I feel is ok. Moreover todays news on the business papers on the surge in the Ford sales driven by FIGO has added to my confidence. But various reviews on poor feedback on after sales services from Ford dealers is the only major negative factor which I have seen today. My current usage is around 30-35 kms/day with a long drive of about 800-900 kms once in a quarter.
Can any reader who have experienced both Suzuki and Ford services share their experience on difference between the after sales service between these two companies. I am really looking forward for your views which can help me to take this call. Any other views are most welcome....
Thanks for your feedback in advance..
