This is Arun from Jammu. I have purchased a new Maruti Swift diesel variant (VDI) version in 1st week of May 2007. I am very much happy and feeling proud to say that I am owner of a vehicle that gives more stunning performance, fuel efficient, reliable, powerful brakes and a sporty look as same mentioned by one of the fellow before also.
At present it is giving approx. 20 - 21 KMPL on highways(with AC on). Very Low Engine noise, no vibration even at upto 150 KMPH which I have drove last week. It completed only 2000 kms till now. As per service engineer its mileage will improve after 2nd service which is due at 5000 kms.
I find it worth for Rs. 510694 showroom price. There is already lots of diesel swift booked all over the India thats why it took almost 2 months to get this car specially VDI Model. This as per my personal interest as I inquired from Punjab , Haryana , Delhi but all the dealers were not able to deliver the cars less than one month time & the problem was same, **(booking were more than the production of vehicle).
*Sorry to say but MUL should provide remote central locking provision with in the showroom cost as all other models of another companies are providing with in the same segment. It cost Rs. 4500 extra to have a remote central locking system which is must now a days. I like its suspension , interior is fine for its class. facing some problems with front road view during turns on hilly roads as front glass driver side frame is obstructing the view and you have to see into the door glass. I don’t know why it is like that. I never feel this problem with other cars/vehicles.
If you are looking for a solid, rocking, speedy & low running cost one. it is made for you.
So far no problem with its running , engine or some other type.
