Amazing cute little car.

At first look (when the car was introduced) the car shape was bit odd, especially on the rear side. But after few months I started liking the Car’s shape. After doing lots and lots of research, in Mouth shut and other resources I went ahead and bought this superb car last December. The Cars Engine is very peppy. More like the old legendary carburetor ZEN. Gear shift is sporty, short and smooth. When you sit in the driver seat the car feels as if it’s a big one. That’s a very different feeling. Regarding Mileage, Well getting 12 Kmpl is considerably a good mileage in City with A/c.

In City it is advisable to close the windows up and use A/c, Since this will keep the interiors clean and less dirty. In Highways my car gives me a good 16 Kmpl.Coming to Highways travel, I have driven Ambassador, Tata sumo, Safari and old Zen for long journeys. But Swift is way ahead of all these. Since I get a good big car feel its less tiresome and safe feel. At high speed (close to 140 Kmph) the car is very stable and virtually no wind noise. Brakes are also good. For me stability at high speed is most attractive feature of this great car.Iam very happy that I Choose Maruti Swift.Maintenance tips:I clean my car weekly once.I use Amway’s Silicone Glaze polish once a month.I Put on the cars cover (genuine acces. from Maruti) every night after the engine is cooled. No eating snacks or food inside the car.Mileage Tips:Always use the same petrol (I use Shell Super unleaded).Don’t break/accelerate sharply (atleast most of the time).Try to anticipate traffic situation and slow down the car well in advance.

Update : Diesel or Petrol ? We had a small discussion about going for Swift Diesel (Introduced last month). If you consider going for Diesel Swift only for taking advantage of the Fuel cost, Please take a look at the following linkhttps://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=ptPqqvV9kFhtKuk_CpgnbIAIt will take approx. 4 Years to just cover the vehicle price difference using the fuel cost difference. I am not sure about the maintenance costs Diesel will lead to. But Maruti’s new Diesel engine is rated as state of the art. But ultimately it is inherited from the same Fiat ’s Common rail engine
