I have been a regular reader of Mouth Shut and have waited for the oppurtune moment and the right product to write a review on.
After a wait of 5 months I was the owner of a Swift. My First Car.
In fact I learned to drive on this one. But hey, the choice of Swift was after I had contemplated long and hard.
If it werent for my friend and my wait and watch of FIAT s dwindling fortunes, I would have gone for a Palio 1.2 nv sport. Why cause its got extremely good looking lines, and it wont dissapoint you when you burn the tar.
However FIAT has not been able to give any comsumer confidence and I was tard dissapointed with the Indicas and the bubble shaped Santros of the world.
Then came the Wolf. Its got looks heavily derived from the BMW modified Mini Coooper. Its got the stuff beneath the hood which has been around, the tweaked Esteem Engine. Its got a price tag which matches the bells and whistles they provide. Some of the features provided are matched only in 10 lac + cars
SO well mate, it doesnt get better then this, bought a Silver ZXi and added the sony Xplod to it. The xPlod was disappointing but the Swift was just right
It capable of seating 5 people, Good enough space for me a driver of 6 ft. The looks which no other car can match. The Zippy young profile. And the Maruti/Suzuki people backing it. I mean its the whole package dude. True Value for Money
I have driven it around Express Highway , City Roads. Its a beauty to drive. The Mileage has been exeedingly good for me comes to 11-12 in city and around 15-16 on highways.
What it lacks I feel is the punch on higways to go further. A 1.6 engine would have done justice, but then I wouldt have bought it, as I woudnd want a Guzzling Beauty
All in all, Its a Fun thing to drive. Nothing to match it on Indian Roads

Comming Back to this review after 3 months. As I had written, this is the car on which I learent to drive. So well, I was much of a bookworm when it came to car, but not anymore.
In the months that have flown by, I have driven the car on differeing routes.
The mileage has been pretty much consistent. The car has got smoother.
There have been a few squeaks from the windows.
Have managed to scrape the bumper, and rear door in a minor mishap.
Got my insurance people to pay the damages, It was a breeze.
Hats off to Sai Service for that, though my lighter has gone missing from the car
Cleaning the car is another task, I have been good at. An Amway car wash, Glass Cleaner, a soft cloth does the trick. For the carpets, I was searching for a handy vaccum cleaner, however I hit upon a shoe brush, which cleans the carpet quite effectively and not clumsily as a vaccum cleaner. :-)
Just bought a hard carpet brush to keep the interiors clean
Also a nice car freshner spray, which I feel is better then the air freshner which sticks to the front console.
Still happy with the wolf
