I have been reading the feedbacks about various cars on this forum for last one month before zeroing in on my decision. I bought my first car 15 days ago. Swift Vxi Azure Grey. Got alloy wheels fixed and wider tyres ( same size as of Zxi). I could not resist taking it for long drive within two days of delivery. I drove on Bangalore Mysore road averaging at 80Kmph.
After returning, I got the tank filled again and calculated the mileage to be 17Kmpl. I was thrilled. Most off the guys told me that before servicing you won’t get 12-13 on the high way even. :)
I have taken test drive in many cars before deciding on swift. I drove Santro xing XO, Ford Ikon flair and Hyundai Getz..
Some how I was facinated by the look and the driving experience on the swift.
The pick up is just too good, I could overtake almost all vehicles I wished, on the highway.
Windows closed, you do not even realise you have reached the speed of 120.
All I would say is this is a beautiful no-nonsense car built for performance.
The cabin noise is almost nill at the idle condition.
I only have one cpmplain: Maruti should have done some better work on the rubber they have put on the windows.. It looks like bad marks on the face of an angel.
