The Swift has finally come out after much fanfare and and its time to recapitulate on the ad campaigns.
Its a great car, great looks on the outside, but budgeting on the plastics especially on the inside side panels and the wipers really suck.
And there’s this big void , there’s no music system!!!!!That was hardly expected of a car with these features. I booked the ZXI as soon as the news came out and I expected a music system with surround matching the other features.
The electromagnetic hatch at the back has lots of problems. And I saw the technical people themselves struggling to operate the electromagnetic lock.
The drive is smooth and the view is excellent and the cabin gives an all round view.The dash also feels nice.The switches are made in really bad plastic and there are no LED’s on them for easy location at night.
The after sales is terrible, backed up with Maruti’s strict injunction against any offers!!!
To summarise I feels its great engineering levelled by really bad management.Needless to say that would drive a lot of the crowd its intended for, away.
