I believe there is just needless hype about the Swift. Just plain goddamned marketing gimicks which I must admit are very innovative. Its going to be launched with the movie Bunty Aur Babli which is great way to get noticed.
I think with just the Esteem 1.3 engine if they are going to go above 4.5 on road price its going to be a big time flop.It’ll be too underpowered for such a big sedan.And yes Maruti should really concentrate on improving fuel efficiency by some techincal advancements rather than always under tyring all their vehicles.
Maruti should atleast get in the Baleno 1.6 engine as the top end version with 15’’ alloy wheels and price it just above 5 lac to break the market.
High time Maruti realises that it really has to stop making bad quality horrid looking tacky cars and then over price them. Indian consumers are now spoilt for choice Maruti can no longer take them for a ride.
