“Not so swift” delivery and after-sale

We booked a Swift in the first week of June through Sai Service, Lower Parel, Mumbai. We were told that the delivery would be by mid-August. We paid Rs.50000 as the booking amount! Now Sai Service tells us that there is a delay from Maruti’s side since the production is slow as compared to the no of cars booked. They say the delivery will be in NOVEMBER!! Which means that our Rs.50000 has been blocked for 5-6 months and we have lost interest on that (imagine how much interest Maruti would have earned on the booking amount paid by so many investors!!)


We have made innumerable attempts to get in touch with the Maruti office in Mumbai, but to no avail. Whenever we call, they say that the person in charge (some Neerav Shah) is either on leave, or in training, or in a meeting etc etc etc……..Each time they promise that they will ask him to call back, but the CALL NEVER COMES!!


Its high time that Maruti takes its customers seriously, and reassures them that they are there to solve our queries and listen to us. How do they otherwise justify their advertising catch-line “Maruti Suzuki – Count On Us”? As of now, we are just counting the months and anxiously waiting for our Swift!
