I am again here with my experiences after completion of 37000 KMS on swift VDI.
Still the average is same around 20/21 KMPL with AC ON. It was reduced to 18/19. But after replacing Air & Diesel filters now it is again around 21. BUT I AM EXPERIENCING A STRANGE AND DANGEROUS PROBLEM WITH MY CAR. ITS POWER/IGNITION IS TURNING OFF WHILE RUNNING INSPITE OF CLUTCH PADEL IS FULLY PRESSED. IT STARTED AROUND 3 MONTHS BACK.
I thought may be it is due to improper clutch pressing. But its engine again turned off and all lights on the panel were “ON” with security alarm sounding continuously. This time my car was on highway running in 5th gear & there was no clutch on & speed was around 70 kms/hr. After this I gone to Maruti dealer, they told me that this is due to malfunctioning of central locking system as immobilizer activated & it cuts the fuel to engine. They checked the car security system but nothing found and problems still exists. Next, they told me to replace diesel filter as it should be replaced after every 20, 000 kms Run.
After this my car’s mileage improved but problem is still there. One more thing I notice that some times its engine stopped when I am turning my car sharp left or right with clutch fully pressed on 2nd or 3rd gear in city driving. I drove my car with out remote security system connected but problem still exist. Maruti dealer will go for micro chip checks to find out what is the problem with the car. Hope they will find it and fix it.
