Just test drove the Swift VDI the other day. And to my surprise it surpassed my expectations. The perception towards diesel car needs to be changed now. The car rides / handles /amazingly well. Noise level for a diesel car is bare to the minimum, as a matter of fact you dont feel like that you are driving a diesel car.
I switched of the ignition at the signal . Tried igniting it again, tried couple of times and didnt realize that car had already started. The pick up is amazing for a diesel car. You can feel the difference when the turbo sets in, it literally pulls you like a raging bull. I was surprised by the space the car has to offer. I am 6 feet so I tried sitting at the rear seat and to my surprise the legspace was just I never expected. It has a pretty good thigh support.
Over and all its a great city car and I am sure iit wont dissapoint on the highway as well. AC /Power steering compliment each other. One thing I was a lil sceptical was the boot space at the rear. I big suitecase can fit comfortably and thats it. If that thing is taken care off I guess its a dream car anyone can own with a mileage of 16 - 20 km I n city and 22 on highway. Overall it impressed me a lot with the power delivery and handling.
