I never feel like buying diesel car as my first car but I changed my thought when test this diesel car.
I booked vxi but my dealer suggested if you can spend some more and do not hate diesel engine then must go for it and here we are.
Good
1) highly refined diesel engine
2) very good pickup for a diesel engine
3) ride quality is like luxury cars
4) built is solid
5) suspension is fine for indian road conditions
6) enough space for 5 people
7) mileage is very good(giving me around 18 in city)
8) no vibrations in compartment
And the Bad.
1) internal plastics looks low quality
2) missing rear defogger
3) lacks boot space for people going for USA flights
4) looks like car is more broad at back(not sure if I only feel this)
at last I must say to people looking for good car around 4-5 lakhs then it is very good choice.
After 31000 Kms ...... on all type of roads in india , this machine is still rocking
only we have to take care of fuel filters, oil filters, engine oil every 7-8 K kms.
Latest Update.......
This machine has completed 50K kms and engines has become like petrol engine no noise or vibration very stable and giving fuel efficiency of 20 KMPL.
I ran this machine non stop for 300 kms while returning from Amritsar and no driving fatigue or stress (nor mal for diesel engines) felt by me.
Hats off to designer of this engine ..... really an engineering marvel ......
My updates after driving this car for 4 years and 60K kms....
engine has become super refined no NVH and I am getting milage of 20 kmpl with AC on 40 % time as I am commuting gurgaon to noida daily. this car has came as real money saver for me . only major exp I have done to date is battery change which cost me 7K.
