The engine is very responsive and I personally believe it has a much better pcik up than the petrol version. The finishing of the car is really nice and original fittments are just apt with the requirement of the car.
Ive managed to drive the car around 5000+ kms in almost a month and one thing I did not feel less off on highways and specially onill drives was the engine power, its damn neat.The engine is really made up very well, very silent unlike the predecessor ZEN - D or any other diesel engine and yet delivers a great power and a nice average. On a to and fro delhi trip from Chandigarh I managed to get a KPL of 22 wherein I cruised around 100-110 km/h and I am really happy with it. Have taken the car to great heights drove a little ahead of Rohtan Valley much ahead of Manali and the car seemed to take the heights and load quite easy.
The EPS is a nice feature and after which at times I find the power steering of my Innova a bit hard.
Though the car is done up nicely and has a great engine, there are couple of things if improvised on the vehicle would definitely make it a flawless car. The braking of the car is not as good as it should be bearing in mind the 1300 CRDi engine it is carrying, the front and the rear bumpers are very fragile even a little bump in them would result in changing them since it is entire one unit only ranging from the bonnet grill to down below, they definitely should be a little heavy. Although 14" wheels are used but the dimensions of the tyre should atleast be 185/60 14 R instead on 165, making it more stable on turns and wet roads. The dealers should have ready stocks, they are totally uninformed about it and providing very poor speicification of the car and also are exploiting clients by forcibly putting accessories worth thousands of rupees and charging a much higher rate than the market despite the fact the same accessories are available at less than 40% price in the market and not delivering the car without the accessories. This infact is getting a poor name to the Maruti brand.
