Let me state right at the beginning that I upgraded to the Swift LDI from a Maruti 800. I’ve run 5000+ kms in 5 months. Car is a pleasure to drive (Considering that I have upgraded from a Maruti 800, this car is pure luxury).I’ve made trips to the interiors of Coorg . I make weekly visits to the interiors of H D Kote. Despite the terrible roads, there wasnt even a whimper from the LDI.
I started off with about 19 kmpl (0-1000 kms), went up to 20 kmpl (2500-3500 kms) and now I get an average of 21 kmpl.The small rear window took getting used to (During reversing) which was a bit of a bother.
Extremely powerful engine (the turbocharger kicking in @ 2000+ rpm also needs getting used to..I live in Mysore and purchased the car at Mandovi Motors - Mysore.
