I recently purchased a Maruti Suzuki SX4 VXi model on Feb 8, 2010. The vehicle is excellent and am completely satisfied with the vehicle. However I want to know how I can differentiate between the old engine and the new VVT Engine. I haven’t received any satisfactory answers from the dealers. Please suggest me an easy way to differentiate the engines. Though I know that the VVT Engine gives better mileage than the older engine, I would like to know a better way to assess the differences.
Some owners say that, the VVT Engine is a bit bigger in size than the older one. But I am not convinced with this answer.
