I bought this car 1 year back and am very happy about its performance for the money I have paid. It was my first car I had ever drived. My family comprises my wife and two kids. We are expecting the third one by end November. I am not a regular car user. I use it for long distance drives with family and family friends.
This is a comfortable vehicle when you have a small family. When you have all 8 seats occuppied, travel may not be that comfortable as leg space is little low between the rear seats.
My first trip was from Mumbai to Mahabaleshwar returning through Murud_Jannjira. My 70 year old mom was also with us. Though I was an inexperienced driver who drove the vehicle only around 100kms prior to this trip, the trip went smooth. The controls are really good and it is very comfortable to drive with 5 or 6 persons in it.
Second trip was from Mumbai to Kochi through Goa, Uduppi and Kollur. We returned from Kochi through Hubli to avoid the ghats and bad roads near Goa.This trip too was very smooth with my mom accompanying us on both upward and down ward leg. She was very comfortable through out the journey.
Though I was the only driver available as my wife does’nt drive, I never felt any discomfort to cover 1900 kms in two days while we were on the return leg of the journey.
Head lights are not that good for night driving and the slide doors did create problems during the on going monsoon season. One of the doors is jammed (fauly central locking) and the sealing of the sliding doors are not that good. Fuel economy is not there as this is a 1300 cc vehicle. When the load on the vehicle is very high it is not that cofortable to drive as you have to down the gear very frequently. But again the vehicle prooved a good bargain with all 8 seats filled up with adults from Mumbai to Sahara city through dense fog after Lonavla.
*Fuel Economy: 7Kms on city and 8 on Highways.(Need a check up of the engine as I hear from readers that they are getting as high as 13 Kms for DX model)
Troubles: No troubles for the last one year, Extremely reliable.
Advantage: Comfortable vehicle for a small family for long distance drives against the money paid.*
