I bought a duo in Jan 2007 and have since used it on LPG only. last month my car did not start and I took it to the dealer(thanks to maruti on road service). The work shop manager told me that the fuel pump has conked off as the petrol in the tank is very old which has resulted in corroding the fuel pump. It was shocking for me when the work shop manager told me that u should use petrol often and not use only LPG. he said that the petrol had changed its properties as it was in the tank for a long time with out being used.
I was surprised and asked whether petrol has an expiry date. They have replaced my fuel pump with out any cost however told me that I shoud keep refueling the petrol tank often so that I do not land up with the same problem.I believe this is a design defect so guys be aware of this if you plan to use only lpg in the duo, ofcourse you paid extra 20000 bucks for that and reduce running cost then do not buy a duo cause the fuel tank cost Rs 6000 bucks and needs to replaced every 15, 000 km

When the diesel and LPG is available at almost price it makes sense to buy a diesel Indica which is less then duo and give about 17 to 18 km/ ltr

LPG is only available only in very petrol bunks where is diesel is available at every bunk
