This review is to alert people approaching Kapico Maruti in Poonamalee High Road to purchase any Maruti product.
I bought a Wagon R (Lx duo) in October 2012. Right from the beginning I have been having trouble with the LPG fueling system and the fuel economy.
The capacity of the LPG tank is 29 ltrs. But 20 litres can be be filled in and the tank does not accept more than that.
The vehicle gives me approx 10 km per litre of LPG with the ac on. The vehicle has been serviced three times and they are unable to improve the fuel economy of the vehicle.
Now comes the most interesting part. I was advised to go in for IFFCO TOKYO vehicle insurance under the pretext of excellent service. So I bought a bumper to bumper insurance from IFFCO TOKYO. When the vehicle was sent to the Maruti body shop for tinkering and removal of scratches, I was asked for the explanation.
I park my vehicle on my street due to the paucity of space. I wrote saying that some two wheeler had caused the damages and some unsocial elements has scratched the vehicle. Then came the surprise from the so called surveyor to bring a FIR.
Unless the FIR is brought they would not service the vehicle and that too only one side of the vehicle would be attended to. During the time of purchase I was told that it is enough to leave the vehicle at the body shop and they would take care of the rest without any hassle. I can understand the need of an FIR if the vehicle has met with an accident.
Anyway we know how efficient and clean is the police department of India. I told the dealers to give back my vehicle and brought it back without attending to the dents and scratches. I will do it on my own at a much lower cost.
Be careful when you buy a vehicle from Kapico and especially with IFFCO TOKYO insurance. They are too arrogant, inefficient and make matters complicated.
