I bought my new Wagon R Lxi in on 18 Nov. Though I feel good about this car I would like to put in the problems that I face in buying and running the car that I have come across till now(upto 2000 Kms)
The delivary part was poor. Even after complete payment the delivary was almost a week later.
I feel that Maruti do have a good base of Easy Rep. & Maint. but it is not exactly customer satisfaction - They foget it. Rather thatn the customer make it feel they take it for granted that Maruti customer is privileged. The customer though already satisfed(Bcos he is purchasing it) starts thinking where the privilege is? These Maruti people behave like Govt. Bodies more or less. I have heard stories about them and now felt myself that they lack total customer satisfaction.
Within one month I found that most of the time when I try to put the Back gear it make quite a unusual noise as if it is becoming very difficult for the gear shift machinary to make that gear change. I reported this to the personel at the time of 1st free service, the prompt reply came from the attended that it happens that sometime the gear finds difficulty in engaging.(See the daringness of the service Man that he is telling me it is quite normal to make unsually high unfit noise of a gear shift in a brand new car). I was more or less shocked because that noise is quite hard to digest which I feel may lead to some sort of problem in that gear plate - or may be this is already a problem in wagon-R.
The Free service they are as if unwillling to tell u the truth and try to impose things. There are many different things that you can opt for or not like - anti rust coating below, teflon coating on body, etc besides Lube oil change is a must .
Most of these prblems are from dealers side. I hope not to get any manufacturing defects as such and pass the warranty period successfully afterwards its upon me. Overall the car I feel is Good for INDIANS.
