It’s been two years since I bought my Wagon R and find this
is the right time to share my comments.
We have used the car in almost all-possible location--urban,
rural, highways, noroads ...whatnot
Being a nature enthusiastic, I visited many places - at times,
we have faced issues like not having any roads or road being cut-off. The car
was faithful enough to manage the times competing with lorries and trucks.
Suspension - Suspension is really good - you never face an
issue with bad roads. However, with five people in the car you might scratch a
ugly laid speed breaker.
Power - well it has loads of it. We traveled from Bangalore
to Hyderabad - 600kms with four adults, AC, and full luggage (so packed that we
could not see anything from rear glass). The car never let us down - the top
speed we reached was 110, which I feel is really wonderful.
Maintenance - Well absolutely nothing except petrol and air.
Of course, need not be mentioned - had to straighten few dents that I received
due to my rash driving :-)
AC - Air conditioning is pretty powerful. The cabin gets
cool in five minutes max. But, the heating system takes some time - heating is
not so powerful as much as cooling. Any thoughts why this?
Service – I would say ‘Okay’. In my earlier review, I would
have rated service to be excellent but of late, I feel the customer service is
getting down. I will not say it’s bad but not great.
Pros:
Excellent ride comfort
Very Spacious
Wonderful maneuverability (Power Steering)
Cons:
Back seat is small to accommodate three adults comfortably
Gearbox - Switching to first and second gear is hard (all
other gears are feather touch)
Bumpers are not strong
