L am regular reader of mouth shut and I have got lots of ideas from this forum..........so thought of sharing my experience about my Wagon R. This review is 100% based on my experience only.
My Wagon R is a 2007 LXi model which has covered 9000 kms, black colour. I should say I am happy with the car in all aspects like driving comfort, mileage, quality, road view etc.... It was basically and upgrade from my M800. I had my wagon R converted to gas at 850kms just after the first service , the car runs well and is an economical car to maintain too.
The points which I like to the most is the seating position, ease of getting in and out of the car, excellent road view, steering and the fuel economy. I haven’t driven much on petrol but I used to get 15 -16 kms without a/c and around 13-14 kms with A/c. With gas filled from stations I am getting 14kms per litre and if filled from home cylinder (not permitted by law but every one does it) I get 285- 290 kms per cy with out a/c and around 265-270 with 50% aircon.There is a bit of sluggishness when a/c is on but it is inevitable.
The thing which I dont like about the car is the rear seats which is not properly ankled for long journey. ..........i wish the tyre width and the diameter is bit more.
Car is easy to park as you can see all the corners through your mirrors. the car also have a good boot space...i have fitted a toroidal tank ( just like tyre) for the gas. I should say its a good ecomomical mid segment car . Touch wood....i never been to a garage for any problems with the car.
I dont want to comment that Santro or any other cars are bad.......but I believe in Maruti brand becz of the low cost maintainance, quality build, better resale price, network of service centres..........and of its affordability to a common man.
