Just before I was to buy a vehicle earlier this year, I had made a list of cars that I was most interested in. The list has Alto, Santro and Zen... but no Wagon r. Since me and my wife had decided to go for an used car initially, the search for the perfect car began.
We saw quite a number of alto, zens and santros.. we even saw an indica. But then on fine evening in Sai service - mumbai we came across this Wagon R. It stood there tall and proud in gleaming light lavender. The attendant opened the door of the car and asked us to enter it and after all the cars we had seen this was one car we could get in without our chins touching the ground. It was cosy inside with some good leather upholstery and a fine music system. And lo.. the car which was never in our scheme of things was home with us.
Now lets get down to some lay man technicalities-
Seating - The seating is very comfortable, more so in the front than in the back. The back might seat kids very comfortably. But one huge advantage with this car is the foldable seats and if there are just two goin on a long vacation with quite some luggage, than just fold back the behind seats and you have a hug storage space. Infact when we and some of our friends decided to go on an outing, we could accomodate 5 of them in the back (of course with some smart planning).
Drivers comfort - Its drives like a dream with absolutely no problem for the driver. not at all tiring. the gears change fine and the car responds beautifully. Pick up is good and once it gets going you will leave many other cars behind!
AC - very comfortable ac and cools the car quite fast.
Fuel efficiency - Gives 12-14 kms/lt in the city without ac.
Parking - no problems absolutely, fits in like a match box.
This car will come with you wherever you dare to take it... its adjusting and very smart.
