Buying a Used WagonR

I am back after writing a review named "The same old storey" sometime back.

Finally, I cancelled the booking of LPG for various reasons. (some of them listed below)

  1. Space Constraints at the boot.

  2. Only LXi and no option for VXi.

  3. No major changes compare to previous wagonr.   The uniqueness of back seat also been taken off.

  4. Atleast the car should run 5000km to get the best review.

Why I decided to buy an used WagonR ?

We are going to get atleast 7-10 new mid-size cars next year (various fuel types). I thought there is no point in jumping to an wagonr petrol now and then stuck for 2-3 years. Instead, I will buy an used car (1-3 years old) and save atleast 1 to 1.5 lacs. In any case, we get a good resale value for WagonR.    The remaining money can be invested and can be used for the new car purchase.

I have almost closed a 15 month old WagonR VXI for 3.1 Lac. It is fully loaded and it should take care of my needs for next 1-2 years. By that time, we would have got better view of the mid-size car market. We will be in a better position to decide on the car which can be purchased.

Yes. There is an element of risk but I have to take it. As I am buying from an certified dealer, it comes with 6 months warranty (engine & gearbox). If it runs for 6 months, I dont think it will have problems after that.
