It's THE Wagon.

Wagon R: Best in it’s class.

When The engineers at Maruti wanted to break the Maruti image as low cars ( and due to the high sales of the Hyundia Santro), they borrrowed the chasis of the Japanese version of the Wagon R ( which incidently is the highest selling car in it’s segment in the East). They callibrated the engine and the suspension to the Indian standards.

The result was the Wagon R -MAV.

But then as Maruti was also toying with the idea of Baleno & other models, Wagon R didn’t get much PR relations boost.

However, now due to increased sales due to the new engine, AND help from all around due to MAruti image. Wagon R is back in the front.

About the machine:

Engine is very nice and needs very less maintainence.

Easy to park and manoveur.

More power to weight ratio than Santro, Matiz & Palio...

Small bonnet.

Power 16’’ brakes.

Most of all, a cool image among the young gen.

I would recommend anyone buying it to go for the power windows and the power windows and the paraphernalia 2 get the complete comforts....
