I got him last August’10 from Khivraj motors, Chennai. Its almost a year now so thought of writing something which could help the new buyers.
We initially had plan to buy an Alto but as we already had one at home in Kerala we decided to go for some upgradation. More over one of our friend told us that Maruti is going to stop Alto and K10 will be soon launched. As WagonR was just launched and the review was good we decided to try it.
Went for a test drive before giving the initial booking advance. The feel was good. Only thing I found negative during the test drive was the’A’ pillar or what so ever you call it. But later when I looked at other models they all had it. I found the car smooth and easy to handle. The power steering worked awesome in the city traffic. There was no second thought. This car was exactly what I was looking for. I went for the booking. Color we prefered was Breeze Blue.
The car was delivered in 2 week time. The delivery was done with some pujas and I collected the keys. The sales man and other technicians at this dealer were good. They explained every aspects. I just went for few accesories like MGA - seat covers, Xenos central lock & 3M sunscreen.
We have 2 kids and have been using this car for a year now. This car is good for small family. I feel safe to have the kids sit at the back seat and you can put on the child lock so the doors cant be opened from inside. Adjustable 60-40 seat is of great convinence. You can fold one side and keep small bicycles, foot scooters etc if you are going for a tour/picnic. The boot or dicky is not that spacious but can carry small luggages. There is provision for 4 speakers. One thing I recently noticed was a hook under the front dash(near the knee place). You can hang small bags there. Its almost a year now and we went for some small trips. The milage is good(17+) and with AC on. Overall, the new blue eyed boy storms.
Just for the new buyers. I am not a car expert, technically. But, this is a good car to drive and good value of money. If you are planning to buy one you will not be dissapointed for sure. Best wishes!
