Art Masterpiece from SUZUKI
I am referring to the new WagonR/WagonR DUO.
After a disastrous design of ZEN which eventually killed that motoring icon(Is that SUZUKI has done it purposefully for launching the new MRWagon as ZEN like De-promoting a hardworking employee in a company so that he leave that organization??? Guess)
Any way good things in life has to end.
Hence comes the Alto, which had a tasteful redesign but not upto scratch.
Viola here is the new Wagon R. Stunning looks had transformed the entire car from an ugly ducking to a beautiful swan.
To avoid complaints of people using it as a double bed on the move, the rear
seat is now without split and normal. I felt that the seat height had increased marginally not to the level of comfort that one expect in a Santro back seat(still numero uno)
There is a big and welcome change in steering wheel design, which now look meaty and welcomes one to grip without that Chicken Leg feel of older car. For technically intended it is now made of polyurethane.
From front one will be startled to see a MINI-SUV look the Wagon R now sports. Awesome Grille and a macho headlamp with suitably creased bonnet now adorns the front end. It dramatically transforms the very look of the Original tallboy. Cosmetic surgery works wonders for middle aged persons to
look like teenagers.
The weedy tires are retained for??? fuel efficiency part safe.
Tacho and Speedo are now standard fares.
New gear knob, again tastefully crafted.
The problem-less engine is retained with minor tweaks in ECU part.
The DUO will get a gas kit which is having a toroid cylinder in place of spare tire well and spare tire now sit on its own seat.(Some space lost there)
VXi model now had the roof rail as standard with Beige upholstery which cheer and light up the interiors.
Now to the Back.
Original WagonR from back look like a Hearse van (in company of old Innova)
The latest avataar look like sweet refreshment with the license plate centrally placed.New sext tail lamps adore both the sides and a high mounted stop lamp on top of tail gate.
The panel gap is now more uniform in the new skinned areas.
The door will not give a reassuring thud sound(which no Indians expect in a Maruti/Suzuki)
I personally feel this package will surely make the Wagon R the most selling small car in India. Santro, Alto, Xeta Fear the WagonR......
