I bought the ZenEstilo(one launched earlier in 2006) around 9 months back and waited for writing any review on mouthshut. This one is the best site to read reviews when you are going to buy a new car.
But the wait is over and here is my sincere review:
Zen Estilo is no doubt the best car when you want value for your money. I have the 2008 Lxi variant and I am very satisfied with its performance, maintainence and mileage.
I looked out for Santro, i10, Swift, Spark, Wagon R and Estilo.
This one was the best fitting in my budget and in I got the car under 3.5. Since there were lot of discounts I got the insurance, keyless entry, Leather Seat Covers and other accessories under the same price. What else do you want?
Some people consider the power offered by any car? Zen Estilo is a 1066 cc engine with 64 bhp. Now all others like Astar, i10 wagon R are nothing more, just 68 bhp. I dont think that makes any difference.
If you are fan of powerful car I think 3-4 lac is not the budget for it. This one is meant for people who want to buy a stylish car in a decent budget.
Following things make it best amongst all above cars:
Car has gone through 3 services(All of them comes with Car) and has costed me between 3 thousand.(Oil Change etc .)
Mileage:
In City Mileage is 14 Km/Litre on normal petrol.(With AC)
On Highways, It has given me around 18Km/litre.(With AC)
Space - You get the best space in its segment. It is almost same as Wagon R but really I never had any problems with the space.
Style: Cute little car, Stylish, Good interiors, Easy to ride, low turning radius, circular AC wents. Overall good. Side view is very perfect.
Sitting Space. Even if you pust the front seats to the back, Rear space remains almost the same. No crampness. But if all 3 persons are healthy it might become somewhat cramped. It is perfect for a family for 4. If you really take my view ony Logan gives space for 3 in the rear in a budget under 5 lakh.
Service Network: Since Maruti is the best, So no problems so far.
Maintainence: So far regular services, No issues.
Speed Handling: Till 100 Km/hr no issues, After that it shakes a bit. Even Santro/A Star has the same issue.
Drivers View: Its really good. If you are tall this is the best oen to get in. It outclass Alto, Spark and Santro. Moreover in LXi you have front power windows. So it has always a luxurious feeling. Sometimes Side view is not good while taking roundabouts.
AC: Very powerful if outside temp is b/w 35-40. Above that it feels non-reponsive sometimes. But it is not the car problem. Delhi is very hot in May-June
Speakers: Provision of Speakers in doors. Thats very nice and same is provided in i10. This gives a lot of space in the rear.
That was my point of view about this car. If you have budget around 3.5 and you are a fan of space and good interiorss, This is the best one to buy.
Trust me, you will feel happy at heart.
