I bought Zen Estilo in December, 2006, immediately after its launch. I was pretty happy till few days back when the announcement of Zen Estilo being phased out, being replaced by Estilo. This was indeed a very disappointing news. The primary reasons for the disappointment were.
This is relatively new car which was launched just 3 years ago.
Never in Marutis history, a product was phased out so early.Not sure whether this is due to some problems in the product itslef or due to any other reason.
As owners of the Zen Estilo, we put lot of faith in Maruti, which was shattered by them. They least cared about the feelings of the Zen Estilo Customers.
Now, with this announcement, I believe we are stuck with the car we have, which will not give any resale value, as it will not be a running model, since it was phased out and also not sure how it will be supported for service.
Not sure what was the reason behind Marutis decision to phase out, but they should have taken into consideration the existing customers. Unfortunately they do not look to have done so.
This will seriously hamper Marutis credibility and will make all the Zen Estilo Customers think twice or thrice, before they again think of going for another Maruti Car.
