Some may find my reasoning very biased. But I am myself a Maruti savvy person, have enjoyed 800, Esteem, Gypsy & finally Baleno.Even about Zen Estilo everything maybe good. But the way other (non-Japanese) car makers change the models fast, it never really suits the average Indians, e.g. Opel Astra (model changed fast & old model car owners had to dump their their vehicles a bit earlier, maybe due to lack of spare parts as well).
The basic model of 800, Esteem, Gypsy, Zen etc. has remained the same, due to which even after 10 years of riding the owner feels proud. Now this model has come as Zen Estilo, due to which all those people who own a ZEN (say a person who bought one in November 2006), suddenly feels like driving a vintage car.If Maruti had to launch a new model, they should have named it just MARUTI ESTILO not Zen Estilo.Just try feeling like an old Zen owner, you will feel the pintch of my logic.Rest, the new Zen Estilo must be a fine car. But the branding is not in very good taste.Same way if Maruti launches new models named Esteem Estilo, Baleno Estilo, I will personally feel doomed.
