I bought my Zen Estilo VXI on Nov 2010 and drove around 3000 km till date. I had few dissatisfaction on dealer however those are washed out by the great driving experience.
Pros:
Look wise probably best among all small cars in this segment, however this is my personal opinion. Initially I was going for all new Wagon R and believe me, Estilo was never in my mind. But after seeing in showroom, I changed my mind and opted Estillo.
Decent leg space and sufficient boot space. Dicky space is much bigger than Alto, A-Star and Wagon R. I traveled weekend destinations few times with full family and never feel shortage of boot space. However 3 adults in back is not comfortable for long distance.
Rich feature. I opted VXI which has all the features company fitted, except for music system.
Mileage is very good, I got 19+ with A/c on high way and around 15 in city condition.
Maintenance and service cost is well below my expectation(touch wood). I have paid Rs 75 and Rs 40, all inclusive, for my 1st and 2nd service respectively.
Driving is very smooth, I havent gone more than 150 km one way but that was through local road. The car handled odd bumps/ pot-holes quite well. Noise reduction inside the cabin is also decent.
Nice A/C, cools the entire car in seconds.
Cons:
Sometimes reverse gear does not work smoothly. The service person advised me to press the clutch pedal fully. Still I find difficulty operating that.
5 passengers on board with A/C on, car pickup is very low. Faced this problem, mainly during over taking other vehicles. Suggested action, switch-off AC during over taking.
Plastic quality could have been better.
Final verdict:
Taking all aspects into consideration(look, price, comfort, fuel efficiency, reliability and maintenance), no doubt that this is THE CAR in a bugget of 4lacs. Take a test drive and compare all cars in this segment and one can easily evaluate. For me, I can see the satisfaction and pride through the eyes of my family members.
