Maruti Suzuki Zen Estilo

I got my new Estilo LXI delivered on 11-Mar-2010. This is my second car - First one was Indica Xeta GLS.

My criteria to buy this car:

1. My wife should be able to drive the car easily. 2. Best mileage in its class. 3. Bharat stage iv and EURO iV complaint. 4. Around 3.5 L. 5. Low maintenance cost. Car’s considered and reason why not opted:

   
   




2. Alto  - Space problem.2. SPARK - Mileage and interiors.3. BEAT  - Good looks, little out of budget and low mileage, heavy vehicle.

   
   

Here are my first impressions after driving my Estilo for 600 KMS:

Pros:1. Mileage - 16+ in Pune city before first service. 2. Ease of driving. 3. Good leg space and height. 4. A/c is good enough. 5. Good boot space. 6. Good pick up and performance even with A/C on. 7. Very smooth gear shift. 8. Really looks like a baby Innova.

Cons:1. A bit uncomfortable for FIVE, Good enough for FOUR. 2. Little sound when A/C is switched ON for the front seaters. 3. Power steering is tight. May ease out after first service.

Took Estilo for a long drive in ghat road from Pune to Murud Jaljeera and back in express highway.Here are my experiences.

1. Not tired at all after driving for almost 500 kms in 2 days.

   
   




2. No problem of pick up in ghat section or overtaking the vehicles with A/c.

   
   




3. Suspension and power steering are excellent.

   
   




4. Excellent A/C to resist the coastal humidity and in Summer.

   
   




5. Good road view and rear view.

   
   




6. Smooth gear shiffts.

   
   




7. Good mileage of 17 + in ghat road and Expressway with speed touching 120 KMPH. Only problem:"Noise" at high speed irritates. When driving at 90 + engine sound and vibrations start increasing.This irritates and forces any one to calm down.
