I have been owning one (Zen LX MPFI) since 2001 Dec and have done 19K kilometers so far. The car is real good - gives good mileage, is maintenance free and easy to steer. I have not had any problems with the car, except for with the dealer. The only problems were with the extra fittings - the Autocop and Horn caused problems for me since the wires were not of the recommended guage (thanks again to my dealer!). There is enough leg space with the front seats pushed back a bit, but that is not an inconvenience since I am the only passenger. The disadvantage of this car is the low ground clearance. When I get to take on a hump with my friends in the car, it bangs on the hump, and that’s stupid. I get a mileage of around 15kmpl with AC on. The mileage drops to around 12-13kmpl when the car is loaded full - with five persons inclusive of the driver. The above mileage is not for the highway or the city specifically - it’s for a mix of both.
There is not much noise during running; however, during idling, there is some noise. The suspension is real smooth and it’s heaven on the highways!
I would recommend this car to anyone with a budget equal to on-road price of the car. I had to spend around Rs410, 000 to get it on the road. All you have to do is get fully loaded, and zoom off!
