I recently brought a used Zen from Mahindra First Choice on 8th Aug 2009. While deciding a car for me I had few things in mind
a. My usage
b. Money I wanted to put in
c. Choice
d. Period for which I was looking for a car.
Based upon this I decided that I will go for a used car which I can use for next 4-5 years and then would look further.
As my usage is not much and I didn’t want to add an EMI at this point, I decided for used car, Zen always fascinated me as it did for others for years. Even Maruti couldn’t resist using Zen for Estilo. Finally Maruti decided that it’s better to say good bye to Tag called ZEN from Estilo or else customers will compare it with ZEN.
ZEN is one of most successful models designed by Maruti.
About my car, mine is a used Mumbai passing 2000 Zen LX, no power steering. Its loaded with a Pioneer CD player, AC, etc.
Because of slowdown I could negotiate a lot and got everything wrapped in 1 lac, with warranty and 2 services free.
Mine is a Golden color vehicle, since then we have gone to Bhushi Dam (lonavala), Kashi beach and couple of other points.
I have got a amazing average of 21km/lit. I am very happy with the vehicle. Only thing I miss is Power Steering, that too while I have to park the vehicle in city area. Otherwise on highways and not much of a difference.
Because of ZEN’s low ground clearance once assumes that car is at high speed. Its got decent boot space. I am planning to get it converted to an alternative fuel (LPG) may be sometime in Dec’09 once the warranty is over.
I must say I am a proud owner of ZEN; I always used to stare this vehicle as the cute looks attract me.
Nothing much about the vehicle it’s great to drive and I am enjoying it.
