This was and is still my first car.Bought it in 2000(MPFI) Model. I get it regularly serviced at authorized service centers. Has taken its dinks bangs and a close shave with a cow on the Delhi-Jaipur highway.Stopped just a millimeter short and the cow fell on my bonnet.
Fortunately the cow walked away, dazed but otherwise unharmed. The bonnet hood got pushed in a bit, but later got it pushed out.The paint still looks fresh and the engine still revs as good as it did on day 1 (touch wood)
Cramped space and body rattle is an irritant, but quickly forgotten by the sheer pleasure of driving the car.
The only issue I faced was replacement of brake drum, ironically because of UNDER USE of the car for an extended period!Having official transport , i have done only 44, 000 KMs all these years.
Love this car.
Its one of the very few cars of its contemporary age, that does not make you feel awkward or out of place at any place or with any comparable car of today.
Driving a well maintained sharp looking Zen , is still a pretty cool thing I think!
