Well I had options of INDICA, ZEN , WAGON -R, SANTRO
I first thought of INDICA because of its new stylish looks and diesel was working out cheaper on fuel bills. I had driven my friends vehicles, but found vehicle doesn’t move great when AC is ON. Which was bad, as I prefer to drive with AC.
SANTRO, It doesn’t have option of EURO - III as of now. EURO - II vehicles are banned to be sold in second hand car mela’s . Driving pleasure was good. Cost is under by budget, mileage though not as expected but definitely near. Also Hyundai was not dynamic in deciding their offers. They were taking ample time to decide offers worth 5k and below. 5 LAKH worth car should not be given 5k thought. Hyundai showroom salesman had to say this ’’No sir, we don’t offer even mud flaps, door mats, it will be at extra cost’’(courtesy - HYUNDAI dealers, BANGALORE).
WAGON R, good vehicle , good driving pleasure, I opted out because of looks.
At last I got ZEN EURO - III. Its powerful in the segment, accelerates faster, AC is good. Mileage is around 13 (WITH AC ON ). The best part which I liked was dealers pre -sale and post sale support. They called me up two day’s once after SALE, to check if I am happy with the vehicle. I had a small scratch in my first month of drive. MARUTI got the touch up done without any cost(FREE).
MARUTI also made me happy by pick up and drop of my vehicle for service at no added cost. Customer support @ MARUTI is excellent. I guess thats why they are rated no. 1 in customer satisfaction.
I hope we buy vehicle were we are given best support.
