HELLO MY DEAR FRIENDS!, I would like to present the NEW ZEN ESTILO for information based on my test drivings made along with my friend kiran sharma who is a member of auto car india and user of city.It is a mind blowing offer that makes you to buy delightfully .Thanks to MARUTI UDYOG for offering beige interiors for just 4, 12, 000/-in VXI version.The electric orvm is one of the feature we see in the sedans like fiesta, verna etc.No doubt it is a good luxury compact car in its class .Though the engine was derived from WAGON R, tuning was done in the engine and noise curbs were added for a smooth and silent run.Another thing is , i felt the body rigidity is better than wagon r making it unsuspectable reliability and less errors on mechanicals.One thing to say for your information is many people were saying that it was an old model in japan.But, old zen too was old one at the time of 1996 launch in india.Even SANTRO XING, TATA INDICAtoo were old models at the time of launchings namely ATOS PRIME, LUBIN in KOREA, ITALY.Maruti s were not importing it and selling here.So no worry about that, though they made same engine in the new shell , you must notice that it was a proven and reliable.When we come to the price on comparison, it is nearly 28000/- lesser than the old zen and highly affordable in its class.Presently SANTRO, WAGONR were costing 435000/- on top models.But what s missing is it is unable to reach the originality of old zen in terms of engine performance , space and fun driving position.In some terms it will be felt gooder than old and in some terms its not.But before test drive ive expected it as bigger than wagon r but I realised as bigger alto.Space is no way compared to wagon r, but the car wonderfully stood in between wagon r and alto with its tactive pricing and space.The plastics used in the interior really resembles hyundai verna with the same design and controls and were different fom other maruti s like the tiger swift.No doubt the instrument cluster will impress you very much as the effect was made on odometer and tachometer in orange display, tripmeter in sky blue and other on board computers in red colour.At night the beige seats, colourful display of illumination of dashboard and cluster makes it feeling like sitting in a costly car.Though im the user of maruti swift I felt the steering very lighter and effort less than my car and all controls were handy accessible and light.The rotary A/C controls were made classy and easy operated.A/Cwas just excellent and best in its class, however the pickup of the car felt slightly sluggish.Gear shift was felt better than wagon r with some what smooth and nearer to santro s, but nowhere comparable with my swift gear shift .When comes to mileage, no doubt it wiil put the same mileage and even more kmpl than wagon r as the same engine is used and less weighted than it.But, the cons in this car are the shoulder room is less when compared to wagon r, stability on highways is equally ratyed with wagon r, santro(SANTRO, WAGONR, ESTILO ARE NOT THE CARS TO BE TAKEN ON HIGHWAYS WITH SPEEDY MOOD CROSSING 110KMPH), not feeling extremely roomier and just like an alto cramped at rear.Its truely a luxurious 4 seater and cramped 5 seater.So, my dear friends, i suggest this car for the family of four adults and one child with the budget of 400000/-.You can buy this resting your hands on your heart peacefully as it is from maruti s unbeatable .But I also suggest INDICAV2 1.2 XETA for just 350000/- with good mileage and ride quality.
