It's my home state...much to see!

Massachusetts is where I was born - and live, so I do know it well! It has a variety of areas to visit. Beginning in the east, there are the scenic beaches and quaint charm of Cape Cod, where I now live - which is popular with tourists. This is home to the Kennedys, and a short ferry ride to the islands of Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket. Boston is about 75 miles north of here, and one of the more historic cities in the U.S.; this is where the American Revolutionary War began...the Boston tea party, and not far from the landing of the Pilgrims in 1692 on Plymouth Rock! The city is interesting - areas are well-preserved in tradition and charm. Great tours - walking, buses, etc. Home of Harvard, MIT and many famous schools and landmarks. The eastern part of the state is more developed, with suburbs and mid-sized cities. The western area is still quite rural (aside from a few major cities, such as Springfield and Worcester) - with the rolling hills of the Appalachian Mountains - and, in the midst, the attraction of the outdoor (summer) home of the Boston Pops Orchester in Tanglewood. Many campgrounds, beautiful scenery. Great year-round, has 4 clear-cut seasons, with snow in winter (December to March) and temps up to the 90s in summer (June to September) - lots of richly colored foliage in the autumn (September to November). The entire state (exclusive of Cape Cod) would take about 4 hours to travel by car, and the Cape is another hour, to the tip of Provincetown - famous for the arts. Massachusetts has lots to see, rich in history, something for everyone!
