Ha ha ha ha ha
Couldnt get over the scene where Archana Puransingh beats up Ritesh and another one in which she beats up the other two. Now dont get me wrong. Masti is not the worlds greatest comedy ever made nor can it be counted as the replacement to Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro or Hera Pheri (which I think are India funniest.) But credit has to be given where due and Masti has its high points which will make you chuckle every now and then, long past the movie is over.
The best way to watch this movie is to keep your mind and logic aside and let your imagination run riot. I mean, after all, not everyone can stay on a ledge overnight and survive without so much as moving an inch right? Here I must add that the maximum credit goes to Ritesh Deshmukh for making the movie what it is. After reasonably ok performances in his first two movies, the guy comes out tops in this one with his playing the role of a henpecked, cowardly husband with aplomb.
Truly, his Fatoo is a memorable character. The girls too have done a good job considering the roles they have been given. Tara Sharma irritated with her nasal voice. But I guess, it fit very well with the character she was playing.
Ajay Devgan adds a bit of star value to the movie...but replace him with anyone else and the movie would have done just as well.
You have to watch the movie for 2 people...Archana Puransingh (as Riteshs dominating, myopic, half-witted mother-in-law) and Ritesh himself (as the guy who seems to have been born under the sign of a rat, so cowardly he is). All in all, full paisa vasool this one. Go watch it.
